We welcome submissions across two primary tracks to bridge the gap between academic research and on-the-ground farming practices.
1. Scientific Track Aimed at academic researchers, scientists, and policy analysts. Submissions should focus on rigorous methodology, empirical data, and peer-reviewed standards.
Key Themes: Soil health and microbiome science, climate change mitigation, organic seed breeding, biodiversity, and agroecological economics.
2. Farmers’ & Practitioners’ Track Aimed at farmers, cooperative leaders, indigenous communities, and agricultural extension workers. Submissions should focus on practical applications, traditional knowledge, field trials, and community-led innovations.
Key Themes: Zero-waste farming techniques, traditional/indigenous farming practices, cooperative supply chains, pest management solutions, and youth in agriculture.
During the submission process, authors may state their preference for one of the following formats:
Oral Presentation: A 15-minute presentation during a breakout session, followed by a 5-minute Q&A.
Poster Presentation: A visual display in the main exhibition hall, with dedicated time slots for authors to interact with attendees.
Interactive Workshop: A 45-minute practical demonstration or facilitated discussion (highly recommended for the Farmers’ & Practitioners’ Track).
Language: All abstracts and papers must be submitted and presented in English.
Abstract Length: Maximum of 500 words.
Content: Abstracts must clearly outline the background, methodology (or practical approach), results, and conclusion/impact.
Originality: Submissions must be original work. By submitting, you consent to OWC 2027 publishing accepted abstracts in the official Congress Book of Abstracts.
Attendance: At least one author of an accepted paper must register for and attend OWC 2027 in person to present.
All submissions will undergo a double-blind review process by the OWC 2027 Scientific and Practitioner Committees. Submissions will be evaluated based on relevance to the congress themes, originality, clarity, and potential impact on the organic movement.
